Excuse me, what the fuck are you doing?

Mkay?So here I am, reading the latest webcomic-strips, sipping on my last can of coca cola, belching with tremendous might, when I stumble upon more information about the situation of Paladins feeling the developer hate (will it ever end?).

Taken from the US World of Warcraft forums:

After further testing, we’ve decided to undo the following changes to the Paladin for the next patch as we felt the adjustments were too imposing on the class’ ability to tank in dungeons.

-Increased the duration of “Avenging Wrath” by 50% (now lasts 30 sec.) This ability no longer invokes “Forbearance”, but shares a cooldown with “Divine Shield”.

-Forbearance now reduces damage dealt by the affected player by 15%.

With that being said, we do feel that the Paladin is currently capable of producing too much burst damage and are investigating reasonable ways to make minor reductions for the future.

“Too much burst damage” … wow, I don’t know what they were smoking but I’d like some too. The Paladin class comes nowhere near a true DPS-class in terms of damage. A Paladin requires really good damage-gear, and a talent-spec to go with it, to do some real damage in the scope of PvE. However, a Paladins primary role a raid-environment is healing, secondary tanking (could be primary in some cases), not damage.
If Paladins have such awesome burst damage as the narcotics-injected developers state they do, why is there never any raidleader who say “Paladin, go DPS” throughout an entire fight? And with all the gear dropping in dungeons, Paladins are more or less forced into the role of A) Healing, or B) Tanking.
I could rant about this forever, about how Blizzard obviously hates the Paladin-class by pulling of nerfs that affect tens of thousands of players. If Forbearance gives a -15% damage done debuff, when the patch goes live, the forums will explode in a rage of angry players. Not just Paladins, but every class, as a Paladin can cast a little spell called Blessing of Protection on anyone, causing them to get the Forbearance debuff. I’d just throw it on anyone as soon as the cooldown is done, just to show how pissed I am at playing a class that is being treated as complete shit. A debuff on friendly targets, doesn’t that sound nice?
